I am Professor of Law at the Avant Garde Interdisciplinary Research Group. Director of http://www.myuni.online.
I am also the former Dean & Professor at the Institute of Law, Jersey, a registered centre for the University of London international programme and the place to study Jersey law, notably for those intending to qualify as advocates or solicitors of the Royal Court of Jersey.
I was previously at the School of Law and the Human Rights Centre at the University of Essex. I have in-depth experience of interdisciplinary research and teaching. I have been a legal consultant for more than 20 years and a member of the executive committee of the Society of Legal Scholars SLS (2007-13; re-elected in 2017).

Further to this single-country study of France, I work on multilevel constitutionalism. I also conduct interdisciplinary, international and comparative research on judges and justice, courthouses and judicial ritual(s). My last book Space, Time, Justice was published by Routledge in Nov. 2017.
I am involved with research groups in the UK and internationally, contributing as part of a board, as an expert, or as a project leader. I am SLS Open Subject Convenor (Comparative Law Subject (Convenor from 2011 to 2017).
